Missy 2 – Dick 1!

IMGP0250

Look what Dick caught yesterday morning…with his able assistant Missy.  A second chipmunk!  Missy did the herding, but Dick did the catching…and releasing…outside, way away from the moho so this guy wouldn’t be tempted to try to hitchhike again.

So we got groceries, got set up at Fish Lake NP, and the rain immediately came down, along with HAIL.  What’s up with all this rain following us everywhere?  We took a scenic drive after dinner, enjoying the beautiful scenery as dusk was settling, and saw 3 deer.  I know a jackalope is an imaginary animal, right?, but we saw the hugest rabbit you can imagine bounding across the road in front of us.  Seriously.

Today, we are moving again…about 275 miles further north to another lake district.  Dick is always drawn to water, and I love it, too.  So off we go.

But first, we’ll wait for the Tour to end.  Go Andy Schleck…finally in the yellow jersey!!!

Life on the road with the Griswolds…

Wow...great hunters, Dick and Missy!!!
I desire rain but we have a awfully high temperature, and humidity...I wait for some fresh days, so we can go out!!!
We have some Festivals here, very interesting, but how can we go for dinner out with this heat???

Have great days!!!

Ciao!

Chipmunk! I forgot how tiny they are! I'm glad the little fella got released to be a Chipmunk another day!

We're having tons of rain here everyday, too. At least the frogs are loving it.

Big hugs xo

you mean there really aren't jackalopes?

That's cool that Missy is earning her keep. Enjoy your new scenery!

hugs!

More chipmunks? Good grief! Hope they didn't set up a nursery in the moho somewhere. But if they did, Missy will take care of it, I'm sure.
Enjoy the "new" lake view.
Hugs!

Okay, so you've caught Theodore & Simon - is Alvin still hiding somewhere in the moho??

We need rain here pretty desperately. All the trouble I went through to finally get some new grass to grow in the yard and now the heat has killed it all already. The struggles with my yard seem to be paralleling my struggles with everything else lately!

I've seen many jackaulopes in my day :) We had hail yesterday also--but it's also HOT. Happy Travels!

Looks like Missy would love to have that squirrel. Just saying. Catch and release is always a good thing.

Have a terrific trip honey. Big hugs. :)

Sometimes Little Bit does catch and release also. When I make her.

Life is good, even for chipmunks!

Just don't get mice! They can find crannies to live forever, and steal Missy's food to live.
