Carnival Breeze - Wednesday

But first, let me tell y'all about last night's dinner. There was an opening at the Chef's Table with Executive Chef Joaquim Rosario Dias, so John got us in there as part of our freebie package, rather than having to wait for a future cruise. It was awesome!

Twelve lucky diners were met by the chef in the lobby and escorted back to the galley, where we first sampled some scrumptious starters before moving back for a galley tour, complete with a demonstration by the pastry chef on making Carnival's signature chocolate melting cake. I wanted to lick the bowl...but managed to contain myself.

We had course after course of fabulous food, ending with Chocolate "88F" for dessert and a complimentary group photo. Afterward, we waddled out and sat with Jim and Janet, listening to our fave piano bar guy Ron Pass play some tunes ahead of the evening's juggling show. A very fine day indeed.

So this morning we woke up to a bit of rain, but now the sun is shining...we will meet Jim and Janet for lunch, then go ashore and hire a taxi for an island tour. It is only 108 square miles, so we shall see the highlights and learn a bit about the island.

Have a wonderful Wednesday. We sure will!

Very nice!

I won't tell you how very cold it is here today... no siree. But if you could, maybe, bottle up some warmth and sunshine and bring it back, we'd appreciate it!

Love that you had the best seats for the group photo! Looking good!

It's supposed to rain here today and Zane is coming down with a cold. We have the chowder feed on Saturday which means we will both be sick by then. Sigh. Oh well. We'll cook and just stay away from everyone. What else can we do.

How fun. We wanted to take the tour of the Carnival Spirit, but they canceled that. Bugger. Never thought about the chefs thing. How fun. Waddle is right.

Enjoy your day honey. Big hugs from cold and cloudy California. :)

What fun! Especially the chocolate part. Enjoy the island tour. Taxi sounds like the way to do it.

Oh, YAY! I bet it was awesome!! I had reservations for me and MotherDear on our cruise last April, but it was canceled... for reasons I can't seem to recall at the moment. Dain Brammage. I has it.

She's making a full blown Thanksgiving dinner today. Al & Barbara are on their way over. We eat SOON! Heaven help my sensible eating plan today! :)

Carry on! big hugs xoxo

OMG, I would have so loved that! That really was a special evening in the making. Much better than I inferred.
