Sittin' on the dock..

...of the bay...go, Otis Redding, sing it!

Make that...nappin' on the dock of the cove, and that would be accurate! Lucky ducks.

Amy said that two pairs of mallards have shared their small pond by the house all winter. Not together as couples, of course. Just one couple at a time, and the kids know the difference in the two pairs.

One pair doesn't fly off when the kids go outside. The other couple is very shy, so they fly away to the cove water. I am sure they are all nesting somewhere, so hopefully we'll have a new generation of duckie duckies when it warms up.

A bald eagle was also spotted further out in the cove by Amy, so I will be on the look out for that nest...hopefully.

That's your critter report from paradise today, well, except for our two who are doing their usual in and out routine...after a thorough inspection of stuff brought in from the Moho that (still) needs to be put away.

Progress. It is slow.

The sun is shining. The deck is lonely. It has missed us. It needs a body to sit and enjoy the scenery.

No, work comes first. Bugger.

Who wants to be a responsible adult when the sun is shining???

I love to sit and watch the birds and other critters from the back of our boat. It's our patio so to speak.

Have a terrific day honey and I know you'll get all your work done in no time. Big hugs from cold, but sunny California. ☺

We watch the geese and other critters from the patio. No dock here at the swamp - but plenty of critters, that's for sure!

I know what you mean... I just finished a big old pile of paperwork and STILL have statements to balance. Me thinks they will wait until tomorrow though. =)

Enjoy your day and don't let that dock be lonely for too long! big hugs xoxo

I hear ya. Once I get to feeling better and the weather cooperates, I'll be cleaning our patio and furniture.

I've been enjoying the birds that stop by our suet feeder. They've been quite active.

Hey there! I know this is kinda off topic but I
was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site?
I'm getting tired of Wordpress because I've had issues
with hackers and I'm looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

We are hoping to attract more of the good critters after the remodel is finished!
