Sitting in the driver’s seat

There was a big land auction here in Mayberry yesterday.  Amy, Jason and Brian were officially working with it (which is why we have had the boys), so they knew about these beauties flying inhelicopter #2 ahead of time.  This was a good opportunity to wow two wee boys!

Unfortunately the taller of the two misbehaved at school yesterday, so he had to stay home…which also meant that I had to stay home and didn’t get to see the helicopters.  Bugger.  Grumps took Doodlebug.

Of course baby bro had to brag to big bro that he “sat in the driver’s seat.”  It was the right thing to do.  And to further add insults, little bro got to take a flight in the helicopter later on in the day (so did his mom and dad).  It pays to BEHAVE!

We believe that children need to learn “cause and effect” early in life, because they surely give parents plenty of opportunities for doing so!
No kids today.  It is a day of rest.  Whew.  We need it!

I hope y’all have a sunny Sunday…we do!

Oh, I completely agree with you! It's far better to learn the big lessons when the consequences are small, and that absolutely must happen early in life.

Unfortunately, I know a few people who as parents could never grasp that concept. Even more unfortunately, two of those people are two of my sisters. buggers.

Enjoy you're well-earned day of rest. I'll probably be working on my business web site again. If my eyes and neck can hold out.

Big hugs xo

Ciao Sandy!

A great lesson, as it's important that the child learns to be responsable... and you remained at home with him!

Have a great Sunday!
I rest, then I go to a big regional market!

Big hugs!!!

I'm sure that the taller of the two learned a very valuable lesson from having to miss the helicopters as well as having to listen to his little brother tell him what a great time he had. No doubt it should give him pause next time he thinks about acting up and remembers what the consequences were.

Enjoy your day of rest - I hope you have some sunshine for it!

Cause and effect is indeed a great lesson. Many parents don't bother and it sure shows. Good for all of you, but sorry you didn't get to go.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. :)
