Today is National Wine Day, so I learned on FB from friend Barb. Who knew? Someone in the wine industry is falling down on their advertising, missing out on this marketing tool! Thanks, Barb, for stepping up to the plate and providing this public service announcement.
As it happens, MM and I are having dinner with friends tonight in a local restaurant that does not have a wine license, so they allow BYOB. And no corkage fee. How sweet is that?!
So do your part…celebrate…and pop your cork today (and save the corks to replace the soil in orchid pots—thanks, Linda, for that tip)!
What is your favorite wine? We are currently favoring Bogle Merlot, a very nice California wine.
Cheers, y’all!

CHEERS......
Be glad there's one place in the world
Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came;
You want to go where people know,
People are all the same;
You want to go where everybody knows your name.
BYOB is a great way to get wine drinking customers to visit. I love that idea. Hubby and I have had our fair share of Bogle Merlot. It's quite popular here.
Have a terrific day honey. Big hug to you both. :)
Dang, woman! I have never lived near a restaurant like that BYOB stuff. I so want one.
I have never tried Bogle anything. i'll keep my eye out for it the next time I'm at the wine store.
If I can remember. :D
Big hugs xo

Isn't it nice to know that there's a good use for old wine corks? Of course you have to drink a lot of wine to get a full pot of them but that's not a bad thing, right?
Hope your dinner was lovely!
