Missy is grounded!

See this Keurig box outside on the ground—for a very good reason?P1010472

The door is ALSO open for a reason—to let this guy OUT after Missy brought him INSIDE the house.  Yes, snake #3.

P1010479

It was just a grass snake who though s/he had found a nifty new home.  I had to kick the box a few times to get him to leave.  Oh, I got him inside the box by sweeping him in there with a broom!

No, you can’t go outside for awhile, Missy.  You are grounded!  This is called “tough love.”

The end of snake events.

May all your events be good ones today.  Be sure and give someone a hug, OK?

Maybe you should call "Billy the Exterminator!" You're getting your fair share of the little guys! My cousin lives up in the mountains (Big Bear). She was on the phone with me, sitting out her patio. She screamed, flung the phone down, scaring me to death. She called back a few minutes later. A rattlesnake had come up from around the corner, about 3-4 feet away! She had a real hard time getting somebody up from animal control, but they finally showed up. There was a den of them (shiver) right under the edge of the patio... The stupid thing is that they're not allowed to kill the darned things. Go figure!
Glad your kitty is on guard, but you'll have to convince her to stick to mouses....

Now that she has a taste of being the "Hunter", bet she keeps on trying. After all, she's only bringing you her "best gifts" because she loves you!!! Thank goodness she doesn't live in this house. She'd be out on her ear if she brought gifts like that to Gene.

Sandy, that just makes me shiver. You are a braver woman than I. I would have been moving to a nice snake free hotel I think, or cruise ship :)

Gadzooks! If there's one thing I can't tolerate it's snakes - Indian Jones has got nothing on me!

Laughing at Barb's comment!

Poor Missy. Spring and snakes just go together and a fierce hunting cat just has to bring them home. You weren't proud and she doesn't get that at all.

Have a snake free week. Hugs. :)

Too funny! I would would not like Joey bringing in snakes, but luckily Joey doesn't go outside and if he did I don't think there are snakes about. I hope Missy gets to go outside soon and play again.

I think if I had a cat that brought me snakes I would have a new dog!
