Tuesday stuff

P1010147

Don and Carolyn had never been to the local historical center in Orlando (it is hard to be a tourist in your own backyard), but they took us and Bob and Lynne there while we were up in the Orlando area.  It turns out that it is quite a nice little museum.  There was a very nice Civil War display that explained the importance Florida play during that time, mainly supplying cattle to the soldiers.

This was an interesting building located near the P1010139museum.  I would love to go back and check it out next time we are in the area.  I’ll bet there is lots of history attached to this colorful number.

I’ve had a bit of beading fun these last couple of days, getting some P1010155earrings made.  Oops, I see that I mixed a couple of them up.  Not to worry, they’ll get matched up!  I have at least two bracelets I need to get made before the cruise.  The cruise?  Yes, a cruise…in less than two weeks.  Time is flying by.

Dan and Joan arrived in their moho today and will be here for a week.  We had dinner together out on our patio last night, then went over to their moho and played two games of marbles.  The guys won the first game and were such gloaters, till Joan and I cleaned their clocks on the second one.  Hopefully, she and I can keep up our winning streak next time, because there will be another time!

Not that any of you need to know this, but here is a very smart thought for today:

If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

That’s it from paradise.  Enjoy your day, y’all.  Today is all you have.

Isn't that funny that one doesn't go to the tourist sights in their own backyards....I have a lot of em up here...lol. I love having out of town visitors so I can go....I used to take the Staten Island Ferry to work and pass the Statue of Liberty every single day!
(I'm ashamed to say I've never been there)....
Peace

I love the gator wrestler scultpure. And I know the earrings will be well-loved.

So far we've been good about being a tourist. I have a few things I want to do and see in our new town. I saw an entertainment book at Walgreens the other day. May pick it up.

I had to embiggen the earrings to see which ones you mixed up! Very purdy!

I lived in central Florida for 31 years and it's obscene how many cities and places I never visited! I miss it. A lot. I didn't think I would. I can see myself moving back there one day.

Big hugs :]

The earrings are very pretty. You are so talented.

I love the quote and it's right on the money.

I can hardly wait to head toward the airport and fly to Miami. I'm so ready.

Have a terrific day. Big hugs from cold and pretty soon rainy California. :)
