Before and after

I made a bracelet for a friend, and somehow or other it broke, so I promised a remake.  It is made of clear and sapphire (her birthstone) Swarovski crystals.  Here is the before, with tools, crystals, ‘recipe,’ etc., laid out and ready to begin:

P1010156

And the after results, before going into the mail:

P1010159

I decided to do a toggle clasp, rather than a lobster claw clasp, as a test to see which works better.  Judy, let me know, k?

The only problem with beading or card making in the moho is that everything has to be put away pronto, since there is only the one usable table inside.  And leaving everything outside on the patio is not an option for any extended period either.  But I manage, and I have a couple more projects that I want to get done before I stow away everything.  I’m having fun!

But creativity will be put aside today.  Friend Jim is flying down from Atlanta this morning (guess where we’ll take him to lunch?).  Bingo.  John G’s!  Janet has been down in the keys this past week, so they are meeting here and driving back to Mayberry tomorrow.  Or whenever.  It’ll be good to see them.

Life is good here in paradise.  The weather is fantastic.  WYWH, y’all!

Oh, that is gorgeous! I think I like that clasp. It looks like it would be lots easier to manage for people with clumsy, uncooperative fingers... which is pretty much mostly everyone I know, including myself.

You're such a thoughtful and talented friend! Enjoy Paradise! Big hugs :]

if you want, sometime check out the magnetic clasps. i love them. i use them on necklaces for people with arthritis. they are not wonderful for bracelets though because they'll "pick up" stull along the way! ha ha

have fun at jg's!

Oooh, I like how you made the "bauble" at the clasp. Having lived in our RV for an extended period, I completely understand the challenge of our hobbies versus the lone table that is used for everything.

I have an idea. Humor me. You know those blow up puzzle mats? I winder if you could use that. Now I don't mean putting loose beads on there, but the peripheral things. That way you only have one or two things to put away.

Just a thought.

Bracelet looks wonderful, and I like that style of clasp. Lobster ones can be hard to do with one hand! Y'all have fun at John G's. Hugs!

The bracelet is beautiful. You are so talented.

We are getting close to our cruise. I'm so ready. We have a storm passing though today and it's cold, windy and wet.

Have a terrific day. Big hugs. :)

Gorgeous! I have always preferred toggle because they are easier to fasten one handed. I really hate the rolly ones you have to hold one side and twist the other. They always fall off! Wearing one today, waiting for it to hit the floor. haha.

Can't wait for you all to cruise, post lots of pictures so we can drool.
