Happy Valentine's Day!

No, Dick, this is not the chocolate I had in mind for you. Ummm, something maybe on a smaller scale...like a Reece's Cup. Or a bag of M&Ms. Shoot...you like chocolate covered cherries. That's it (plus, I don't like them and won't be tempted to eat any!).

Lynne and I found that Hoffman's is a chocoholics paradise! She found some cutsey chocolate alligators, dogs and ballerinas to take back to her grandkids. I'm sure they'll love them.
The day is supposed to be a romantic one, but this is what we'll be watching this afternoon. The Daytona 500 RULES the day here in the south! Brian and a few friends will actually be there enjoying the madness, um, race. I much prefer watching from the comfort of our own patio and big screen, with no crowds to fight, and my own potty inside. I guess that is a sign of gettin' old.Come join us for a hot bowl of chili and a cold beer if you are in the neighborhood. It'll be relatively quiet, and no crowds! Guaranteed.

Happy Valentine's Day, y'all!

I didn't even know the Daytona 500 was today! You'll have to enjoy it for me, I'll either be watching the Olympics or napping. Have a Happy day whatever you do!

Happy Valentine's to you two too! We'll be going back and forth between the race and the Olympics. (I have a funny story from the time Logan and I went to the Firecracker 400 at Daytona, but it's not for G-rated audiences! Talk about rednecks...)

That's just what I'll be doing today, but from my recliner just off my patio. I use to go to every NASCAR Daytona race. Freeze in February. Roast in July. I saw every Daytona race that Dale Jarrett won and the only 500 that Dale Earnhardt won! But then they went and got CRAZY expensive and I quit going. The crowds ARE outrageous but seeing it in person, feeling the cars vibrate as they passed, smelling them... it's Nervana for a race fan!

My DirecTV guy has been working since 8:30 and I hope he finishes before the race starts!

Happy Valentine's Day! Big hugs xo
