And then you'll learn that the stew is to be cooked in the crock pot, silly. Boy, did I have a blonde moment at 4p yesterday when I started to prepare dinner. There was no way to do all the needed chopping, slicing and dicing and then have it simmer for a few hours and be able to eat it last night. Sigh. Fortunately I had a Plan B (leftovers reworked)...and postponed the stew until tomorrow. Cold shrimp tonight.
We are back to the moho after spending two hours at the local Social Security office. Dick turns 65 next month, so he had to go take care of business. Talk about chaotic and frustrating, that it was! Long lines, tinny sounding PA system...no fun, but I had a book to keep me occupied...and now Dick is all set with his registration with Medicare. He happily got to cancel his part of our medical insurance with BCBS. Woohoo...more travel funds!!!
Life is good!

Ciao Sandy!!!
Cold shrimps!!!
I had a light dinner tonight: Daikon mix salad and a Daikon pasticcio in oven, I'm writing somthing about this unknown (for me!) vegetable!!!
Have a great evening!
Hugs!
see you tomorrow!!!
woo hoo! Yay! More travel funds!
More travel funds is a very good thing. Dealing with governmental agencies is a real pain for sure. So much red tape most of the time.
I hope you get that crock pot loaded fairly early in the day so you can have dinner. It has to be on high too or it won't be done even if you put it on early. Zane cooks here and he's had lots of blonde moments.
Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs from cold California. :)
I've done that before with stew - which is ideally best served a day or two after it's cooked and had a chance to mellow in the refrigerator a bit!
Ah, to have some travel funds myself!
At least you had a back up plan! Maybe you should have more Bud's fried chicken.
We had fun partying at your house tonight. Both your recipes (Brian's chicken and my Cuban pork) were a hit!
I wish I were on Medicare. I have too many years to wait, and by then they will likely be bankrupt. Oh, woe is me!
I think traveling is your job and the campground is your vacation. Right? hahahaha!
