Nan update

Poor thang! There ends her modeling career with these two scars.

The good news is that the ramp got made in time to wheel her into the house. Thanks bunches to her good neighbor for the ramp, and another one who will be checking on her and helping with her ice machine. And I'm not talking about the one in the fridge.

There is a new fangled machine that helps to keep swelling down (where was this when I had my many knee surgeries?). Oh. My surgeries were decades ago. Never mind.

She is learning to adjust to no walking, and planned to spend last night in her recliner so that she could keep her foot elevated. Check. She will learn how to do whatever it takes to wait out this healing ordeal. It isn't a permanent situation. Plus, she's a tough cookie.

Meanwhile, it is 32 back in rain soaked Mayberry. Our lake is up over 10 feet and the docks are floating! They don't float in January.

West Palm Beach is sunny but chilly this morning. We are definitely not complaining about being in jeans and covering up toes today. This is also a very temporary coolness.

Have a great Monday, y'all! Watch where you step.

I'm glad Nan is home. I know she's a tough cookies because I know her sister and she's a tough cookie too that came from mighty fine stock. Just saying.

It's mighty chilly here too and we're preparing for some rainy days. Bring it on as we did it terribly.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and tons of scritches to those sweet babies. ♥♥♥

Please send my love to Nan. I know how tough this is having recovered from surgery this year. The cryogenic-cuff machine is a godsend! We used to provide those to our patients for joint issues. It's awesome for pain and swelling. Please let her know that with work, being "down" is temporary. I know the tough work ahead is no picnic.

Hope the flooding eases. One less worry.

Hugs to you, dear!

Oooh, that looks gnarly. Bless her heart. Behave and stay put, Nan!

We're under a freeze warning until 9am here. I'm a brr-asaurus, for sure. Come on Spring! big hugs from the frozen north (of you!). xoxo

Bless Nan's heart, and ankle, too. I'm glad she has good neighbors and good technology to help her through this ordeal. I must agree with Barb, it looks gnarly. Yes, the lake is up greatly, it's no surprise that the docks are floating. Lots of things were floating around here the last couple of weeks, many that should not have been...but we've now had several dry days in a row, and colder weather, so it feels more like January. Maybe the plants won't be too mixed up this spring, and MAYBE some of the bugs will be killed off by the 16 degree AM temps! Enjoy the FL warmth. Hugs!

Rest Nan. Heal my friend. You are a great friend Sandy. I feel bad for you guys in Florida. It's a little cold. Here in Amherstburg its beautiful, 20 something degrees. ha,ha,ha.

Have a beautiful Thursday Sandy. See ya.

I'm so happy to hear that Nan is home now. I hope she'll feel much better soon!
Good thing she has some sweet people around to help. When I broke my foot two years ago I was amazed how often I needed help because I couldn't walk on both feet. Every time I remember that I'm grateful for being able to walk now :)
I hope you are having an amazing day!
Sending lots and lots of hugs to you,
Beate
