Monday...time to fly home!

Yesterday we rode the rails; today we are flying high in the sky!

We took the train along the Rhine ...we are pathetic...we always wind up somewhere along the Rhine when in Germany...with the intentions of stopping in Rudeshine (not spelled correctly) for lunch, but we saw that it was biker day and too crowded, so stayed on till the end of the run and ate in the station, then headed back to Cologne on a different route. Hey, we at least vary the route occasionally! We did a quick look inside the cathedral, picked up our stored bags from the hotel, and arrived back in D'dorf ready for dinner. Not much in the little berg on the other side of the airport but a pizza place open on a Sunday night, but it was surprisingly good.

Our flight is a bit early, so we have a wake up call to roll us out and get us going.....and my phone alarm also set. I am anal about NOT making a flight in time! Get over it.

We are both ready to be home where we can understand the language and read the signs...and sleep in our own bed! Oh yes, we want to see the kids and grandkids, too...and Missy.

Hope you all have a great Monday. I look forward to catching up on my blog reading! Ciao...

Ah. The best part of any trip is ALWAYS your own bed and HOME! Thanks for taking me along on your trip around the Mediterranean!

Wow, your vacation is over already. I'm sure you will be glad to sleep in your own bed too. That's what I always miss the most.

Have a terrific day. Big hug. :)

FYI, the Travelers have landed safely on the US side of the pond and are heading home.
