Saturday stuff from Mayberry

Good morning!  A cold front is on the way throughAUTUMN LEAVES the GA Alps today.  Yay…come on!!!  It is time to kick summer to the curb.  Srsly.  It is September already, with Friday night football games that require blankets to keep warm.

To be more specific on that football game reference, we are more interested in the half-time activities, since our older granddaughter is playing in the marching band this year.  We watched last night…great job, Ansley!  March on!!!

Empress Bee and Sandee, you’ll have to share your bursitis tips with me.  Yep, that is what my hip has. I  I am trying out a medical patch for a couple of days, and will seek out a local physical therapist to help with some strengthening exercises.  Bee may have a pool partner this winter!

I don’t mind getting old, but I sure don’t like all this patching business.  Raise your hand if you agree!  At least this is fixable, and for that I am truly grateful.

The hardest years in life are those between ten and seventy.

Life is still good, y’all!  Smile and carry on…

bursitis is an injury to the bursus, mine any yours were the bursus in the hip. prednisone might help the inflammation a bit, heat can help, especially at night but only 20 minutes at a time. (ice when you first injure it though). mine took some months to heal and don't let anyone tell you that you can't hurt yourself in water aerobics, that's where i injured mine! now i only do water walking and water jogging. my bursitis is not painful any more but once in a while i get a tinge and use some ice. i feel your pain honey! akkk.

hugs, bee

Oh no! Hugs.... Bursitis is not fun! Enjoy the cooler weather. I hear it's getting cooler starting next week for us up here. That means snow on the mountains. I want to see my mountains a bit better. Miss the snow on them.

Send that cold front up this way! I am so sick of the heat and humidity and nasty weather. It's September - how about some cool stuff?!?

You're right, getting old ain't for the weak! If it's not one thing going wrong it's another. I'm going to see an allergist on Wednesday to try to find out why I am constantly breaking out in rashes and such lately no matter what I seem to touch. It's getting a bit frustrating and/or annoying! Hopefully it's fixable though and I'm not allergic to life!
