The “G” is for GONE!

 Sandy, Bee, Charlie

I pulled up Bee’s blog as I was getting my coffee and greeting the morning and thinking about “what to blog today?”

Oh NO!  Our fave restaurant on the beach in Lake Worth has closed.  For good.  She said they will reopen down the road in Manalapan, a very ritzy address…and they will NOT be on the beach!  Horrors.  John G’s not on a beach?  What are they thinking???  And paying rent in Manalapan will be pricey.  Oh well…this is our last photo from the old location with Bee and Sarge.  The end of a great era.

Let us now pause for a moment of sadness.

OK.  Done.  We’ll survive…and create new memories next winter in Florida.  We adjust well…and move on…and smile.

The only constant in life is change.  And sometimes that is GOOD.  We shall see if the new location is a good change.

I am taking Ansley and Macey to their ballet practice today (recital is Sunday).  I am excited about spending time with these two special gals.  They make me smile…and often laugh at their many antics.  But that is what kids do, along with aggravating the snot out of you at times!  All four of our grands are blessedly normal.

Enjoy your hump day.  That’s it from hot paradise, y’all!

So will their new sign say, John G's NOT on the beach?

I love that photo of all of you!

My 13 yo niece Leann just had her recitals and competition. I think she was in 8 numbers, plus 3 or 4 competitions. My sister was running around like a mad woman that week! (Costumes, makeup, etc...) I use to take dance and don't remember all that work associated with it! But I am betting I must aggravated the snot out of my Mum at one time or another. I think I still may! hahahaha!

Big hugs from just as hot paradise xoxo

Price will not be a consideration if the food is the same, but the restaurant, regardless of how nice will not be the same.

I am reminding myself that changes are gifts. It takes lots of reminding these days.
Enjoy the girls. Hugs to all!

Wow, that's a big change indeed. You've all been talking about John G's for well...forever. I know you'll adapt, but it not being there will take some getting used to.

We want pictures of the recital. Just saying.

You have a terrific hump day honey and we'll do the same. Big hugs. :)

Sorry to have read about your favorite spot. I hate it when that happens. But you have a great attitude about it. Something better will come along!

Enjoy the recital and the practices.

Bummer, I know this change thing goes. This means that John G's won't be the same.

Talk about the end of an era! I remember going to John G's as a kid, and it was such a treat. Too bad for them. Thanks again for taking the girls tonight! See you tomorrow for another round.

Alas, poor John G's, I barely knew ye!

I had the pleasure of going there only twice but both times it was in the company of Sarge and Bee so that made a nice restaurant even more special. I'm sorry to hear that it's gone to richer pastures though I wish them much success.
