Friday stuff

Ivana asked where Dick was while I was away last weekend:  He stayed home (a relative term).  He worked some up at his shop, but he did get out on the jet ski a couple of times, so it wasn’t just work and no play…and he had Missy all to himself!

MM is always a ‘projects’ guy, doing this, doing that.  He got Jason and his helpers to move an awning over to the E side of our deck where it is needed more than at its previous location.

Now the swing will be shady in the mornings.  Umm, I think it is OK to take the heater off the deck now, honey, since it has gotten hot enough to try out the new deck addition:  the diving board!  That one is definitely HIS toy.  I have totally NO, NONE, NADA interest in diving, but then again, I was never on the swim/diving team like he was in high school and in college.  I’ll take the photos, thank you very much.  And I know you’ll do a water safety check before diving in.  MM is one smart guy.

It’s Friday already.  Boy, where did the week go?  I hope everyone has a great weekend.  No big plans here, other than to enjoy paradise on the water with friends and family.  Life doesn’t get much better than that, y’all!

A very exhaustive answer...I had to think that MM is always very busy!
The deck is very confortable!
Time flies away!!!
I'm also very busy...my friends arrive on Sunday!
I baked a big zucchini cake (like muffin!), as antipasto!

I must iron!!!

Have a great Friday!!!

I have never been one for diving. Me + dangerous sport = disaster. Just saying. I would totally be the one to break my neck. Literally.

My ex and his entire family are excellent swimmers. His mother was THE best! And his grandmother. His maternal side of the family have owned a bunch of property up on the lake in New Hampshire for about 150+ years. It can't be sold to anyone but direct heirs. It is written.

I love how you've done your deck. Is that rope? I love that it's safe without distracting from the view of the lake! That MM is a gem for sure! I'd keep him if I were you. :D

Enjoy paradise! Big hugs xo

No, Barb, not rope. It is steel cable all the way around. Very safe and doesn't obstruct the view. Doors (locked!) over stairs and the diving board entrance so as not to tempt the wee ones. They DO NOT climb on the cables either. Grumps can really growl and get their attention...but it is for their own safety. Yep, he's a keeper:)

Beautiful deck and you'll definitely have to take some pictures of MM diving from his board and share them with us!

And yes, time does indeed fly but I'm quite happy that it's the end of another work week as there were way too many early mornings in this one!
