Sunday stuff

My scarf students caught on quickly yesterday and got right to work:

P1010074

Measure, cut…tie those knots…

P1010075

Then show off the results of the Americana gals—Tam, Harriet, and yours truly…

P1010081

Dick learned the hard way to make sure the screen door is properly shut.  Escape artist Missy found the door open, went outside and under our coach; ran to the next one, with Dick and me in hot pursuit.  She got scared by the noise of a golf cart on the road, and took off again!   I caught her as she was trying to climb the steps of yet another coach, hoping to go inside.  She was shaking like a leaf and mighty happy to get back in her own home.  Will she learn?  Probably not.

And the guy on the golf cart…is from Mayberry.  Go figure.  Here we are, far from home, and he spotted me outside (probably looking like a crazy lady, out chasing a cat), and so he turned around to come say howdy.  Small world!  Love it.

Try to have some fun today.  We sure will…and hopefully with no more Missy excitement.  That’s enough to last awhile…

Aaiiieeeee! I always panic if I have an escape-ee. It hasn't happened in quite some time... and it is always Whitey. Makes me sprout gray hairs with every passing minute. Glad Missy is back safe.

How funny meeting someone from Mayberry!

Love those scarfs!

Big hugs :]

Looks like you all had a great time being creative. Way cool.

Empress Bee made me laugh out loud.

That Missy, she's something else isn't she. You're right though...she'll do it next time too. They just can't help themselves.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs from rainy California. :)

Very nice!! Looks easy too!

Missy won't learn...curiosity!!!
I had an old orange cat, Jabba, escape once. Looked all over town, put up flyers, etc. and found him 6 hours later behind a stone slab in my backyard....shacking of course. Now if they get all asceered and everything, why do they keep doing it??
Peace

Tesla has never once even headed for the door so I guess we should consider ourselves lucky as there's no way I'm going out to chase a cat around in this ice and snow we've got!

Looks like your students caught on right quick with the scarf-making! They must have had a really good teacher.

It is indeed a small world! Glad you were able to catch up with Missy without too much hassle. At least she was trying to get "home" even if it was the wrong coach...how was she to know? :-) Safe travels today.
