Winter wonderland

So yesterday began with Amy texting—wanna go to walmart? Me: yes,  if Dad will drive!  And so we did and had the place practically to ourselves:
P1000924
We did our shopping; bought milk and Dick delivered it to a neighbor:
milk delivery
Missy tested the deck…for all of three minutes…and quickly came back inside.  This shot was between snows.  It started again mid-afternoon…P1000933and Dick had already been out scrapping the driveway and roads yet again.   On top of the 6-7” accumulated, we got at least another half inch or so.
It was pretty…but we’ve had enough snow, OK?!
Even Dick has been cold.  We are both wanting to head south and thaw out.  We’re getting wimpy in our old age, but that’s allowed, right?  Right!

OK Dick is the nice guy. Remember the blizzard of 93, the day we bought our house on the mountain? The next 4 days we were stuck in Milton inn. no power.

I agree, it's pretty, but enough is enough! It's only 25 degrees here now. Thankfully, no precipitation or we could've had snow, too!

I suspect that one day I will return to New England to retire close to my sisterdears, but I'm not looking forward to the winters again. I can almost hear the snow crunching under my feet. Yuck.

Stay warm! Big hugs :]

Hopefully our winter wonderland will start melting tomorrow. I still can't believe how much snow continues to fall.

We are getting wimpy too. I think it just comes with age. I see the kids out in short sleeves, and I remember doing the same thing. I can't anymore. I'm bundled up to go anywhere.

I can so relate about having enough snow. After the first inch I'd be done for the year.

Have a terrific day honey. Stay warm and dry. Big hugs from sunny but cold California. :)

It's in the teens here as I type this with the wind still blowing like a banshee around the house so I think I can definitely sympathize with having had enough of the snow and cold weather but unfortunately, winter just started for us! And I get the feeling it's going to be a long cold one if the beginning is any indication.

Ah well, makes me look forward to that cruise to warm places in February even more!
