Polar express is coming to Paradise!

cove 12.9.10

This was our view two days ago before it got above freezing.  That is ICE forming along the edges of our cove.  Rain and falling temps are coming in tonight, with the promise of snow tomorrow, even in Atlanta.  We’ll be below freezing until Wednesday.  At least.  And the irony is that we probably won’t have a white Christmas in two weeks!  That’s just wrong, I tell you!

Dick and I will attend a Christmas party tonight…tomorrow is Haley’s scrapbook club final gathering for the year…so that is my weekend.  I plan to put on a pot roast in the crock pot before heading over to Haley’s house.  I love crock pot cooking!  Easy peasy, and done when you want it to be.

Ho, ho, ho…enjoy your weekend, y’all!  Stay warm…

Gee, that looks a lot like the Yantic River down the road from me but the difference is - we're supposed to look like that up here in Connecticut! Though, truth be told, it's actually way below normal for temps up here, too. Maybe this means we'll get the cold over with early this winter? One can only hope!

Jamie and I are going to go find a Christmas tree by hook or by crook no matter what the temperature is out there - after all, it's only two weeks until Christmas! How did that happen?

Have a lovely Saturday and enjoy your party!

Our cove is completely covered in ice. We had a heron trying to break it to no avail. See you tomorrow!

It's cold here, but at night. During my walk yesterday I wasn't wearing a jacket. It was pretty mild out. I hope you get your white Christmas though. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

As for crock pot cooking? We do a lot here too. Usually a pork roast of some kind with lots of veggies. Then the next night we do pulled pork. Love it.

Have a terrific weekend honey. Stay warm. Big hugs. :)

I could not resist. This weekend is record breaking temps here in AZ, low 80's. LOL Have to run the air in the afternoon to keep our little fur kids comfy! (mom and dad too) LOL Have a fun time at your scrap party. I went to a late night crop last night and had a wonderful time.

3 to 5 inches in the forecast. We'll see... I had hubby take me to the grocery today. Got enough for the week.

I have lots of fabric to keep me busy. So I'm going to hunker down. It's going to be a long winter...LOL!
