Santa Fe and fun…

Dick and I took a drive up the mountain to check out the state park that was our original destination here in Santa Fe.  It was beautiful, but they didn’t have many sites our moho would fit in…so we stayed put and didn’t change campgrounds.

After lunch, we visited the Georgia O’Keefe Museum.  The only art on display were her abstracts, which are not exactly our cup of tea, but we are happy we saw them.  She was one of the greatest American female artists of the 20th century, so I didn’t want to pass up this chance to see some of her work.

Say hi to BSP sista Mary B!  She is in my online chapter, so we had never met in person until today.  She just happened to post online that she was looking at rain in dry Santa Fe…hey, we were looking at that same rain, so I quickly emailed her and she popped right over, being only five minutes away.  We enjoyed a good visit, and then dinner nearby.  Mary gave us lots of good tips on some neat places to see here in NM that we might have otherwise missed.  Fabulous!

So today the Griswolds are on the move again, heading up the scenic route to Taos for a first-time visit.  I think we’ll be there two nights.  And a train ride is planned for Saturday.

Having fun on the road, seeing lots of beautiful scenery!

Georgia O'Keefe is one of my favorite American artists! Too bad some of her florals weren't on display. They would be a sight to behold. Sounds like you had a fun day and have many more adventures planned. Take lots of pictures of that train ride!

Sounds like another successful day of traveling and living.

I was able to see a Georgia OKeefe with Ansel Adams exhibit a year or two back in Cornell, NY. Never knew they travelled together on a photo excursion!
