This is the cabin that Dick stayed in after he became a more senior member of the camp staff. Note the shelf on the R that he built as his closet, and he even wired the cabin for an overhead light. That was big stuff back then. And no bunk beds for him and his roommate, unlike...
...the original cabin he lived in. There were multiple bunks in these lush accommodations, and the only lights were outside in the covered walkways (it rained a lot, so these walkways went almost everywhere from one building to another).

I think a family field trip is in order! I would really love to see Camp Dixie since its lore is such a part of our family. Then maybe dinner at the new LaPrade's...
I agree with Haley, can I be in the family?

Oh, it looks so peaceful and pretty. I think you should check out the new restaurant for sure!
Thanks for taking us along, Sandy! Tell Mr. Dick hello!
I was about to say the same thing as Harley! I've been to LaPrade's twice in the last year, both time on two wheels. Didn't eat, but did rehydrate. They don't have the family style dinner anymore, all individual tables, but it's still neat.
Ciao Sandy!
One sometimes needs a peaceful, romantic place like this!!!
Hello, Dick!!!!
Ciao!!!!
