Windmills by the dozen!

These things are HUGE...they are. Each blade is 138 feet long, and weighs 7 tons. Times 3! That whole housing up top rotates, and weighs in at 115 tons. These were built at a cost of $48 mil, and the pay out is in 7 years. Just think of all the barrels of oil these 12 are saving us. We flew over many wind farms on the way up here. It is good to know we are re-thinking our energy sources.

So the puzzle only had 4 pieces missing out of the 1000...not too bad...and today, some of us played Rummi-cube, which is fun. Bartletts and Heatons left; Fearnows leave tomorrow. Our group is shrinking. The food supply is still abundant. Tequilla Lime chicken tonight. Yummm.

Cheers...miss reading all my blogs, but I will catch up...soon!

Windmills fascinate me. When I was up in KY the last two years i would always see the trucks carrying those propellers on I-24. Those puppies are longer than they look!

DH is still trying to figure out how to put windmills here at the house! Tequila lime chicken sounds wonderfully delish! I want the recipe...

$48 million? Seriously? I hope they can figure this energy dependency thing out.

Sorry about the missing pieces. That stinks. I hate missing pieces.

We have these windmills all over the place here too. They are indeed a wonderful invention.

Now I'm hungry for chicken. I wonder why.

Have a terrific time honey. Big hug. :)
