Poor Dick. He has a bad head cold. Hear Dick cough. See Dick blow his nose. You remember I said that Sherman got a cold? Well, Pat did too.
But...Sherman is in the hospital because of that cold, and that is a good thing, cuz the doctors discovered he had a slight heart attack! He is awaiting a look-see by the pulmonologist this afternoon to determine when they can do a triple by-pass on him. The good news is that there is no pneumonia. Dick's cold is certainly minor by comparison to Sherman's ordeal.
Lynne and I never made it to Publix yesterday, so that is my mission today, since I need a few things. We were successful in finding 'stuff' to go in the rally goody bags, and we had lots of fun just being together. The four of us went to Dan and Joan's for dinner (yummmm) and a couple of games of marbles. No, not the kiddie kind (I never did play with them, did you?) This is a board game, and there is quite a bit of strategy to it, better played with 6 folks than 4. We played guys against girls. Girls rocked!!! Twice:-)
I remember playing Monopoly a lot as a kid and loving it. And rummy. Reminisce a bit and think about what your favorite game was when you were young. What was it?
Life is good...it is warming up here in WPB!

I hope Sherman and Dick get all better soon. We just had a friend that had a triple bypass and he's doing great.
Favorite game as a kid? I can't remember back that far. Yikes.
Have a terrific day. :)
oh no, poor dick!
as a kid we played monopoly, go fish, and clue...

mystery date...poker, monopoly..nancy drew ( a board game).
Hope Dick feels better soon. My favorite board game is life.
I hope Dick's triple bypass goes smoothly and well, and he will be okay after this ! Scary stuff, Sandy !
Monopoly used to be so much fun to play ! Scrabble was another one of my favorites.
Hope Dick is better soon. Sherman, too! Monopoly takes too long for me! I guess I have a short attention span. I liked to play Scrabble with my grandmother, and Rook. Loved playing Rook! I enjoyed playing Clue with my kids, never played it when I was young.
Hugs!
maybe he needs more exercise and good diet.
may he get better the soonest!
I remember playing monopoly w/cousins Ricky & Mark, but I always thought it was boring (the game, not the cousins!). My Miss M LOVES monopoly so much that her other grandmother calls her Miss Moneybags.
My fave game of course was rummy! Othello was another one I enjoyed. How many rainy days did we play those at the cabin?
Haley, that brought back good memories at the cabin. I remember looking around one rainy day and there were about a dozen separate solitaire games being played! And Grandmommie Bell was soooo good about playing any kind of game with you g/kids. Good stuff.
