I close off the kitty door to keep the kitties inside overnight. To be safe, right? Our Houdini figured out a way to escape confinement.
Several times after closing said door, KC has appeared on the deck. How’d that happen???
I looked at all windows and screens. Nothing seemed amiss. The boy still escaped.
Next, I FELT the bottom of every stinking screen in the house, and discovered his customized escape route. Now we know how he was able to be outside at 3 AM and get injured:
MM, your honey-do list just got longer. The glass door AND the kitty door both have to be shut, Mr. KC. Mom rules! Mom doesn’t want another injured kitty nor another vet bill, thankyouverymuch.
Have yourselves a ginger peachy Monday, y’all! It’s just another day in Mayberry.

Aha! Caught in the act! How did KC figure that out out? Or did he push until the screen came loose? At least you know how to keep him inside now.
Rut roh! That stinker! Great detective work. I believe that video will be evidence in court should it come to that. Good luck getting it fixed!
I say this with empathy and great love.... bahahahahaha! Been there. srsly.
No more great escapes, KCoudini!

He's a smart mancat isn't he. Yes he is. Too cute.
Have a terrific day honey. Scritches to the babies. ☺
I know what you mean about keeping animals in place. We have a little pee shooting chewer right now. When we leave, the kitchen is sealed like Fort Knox, yet the puppy still sometimes finds a way out.

B-B-B-BUSTED! It's amazing how flat and small they can get so they can squeeze in and out tight spots.
