Hello, sun!

We are happy to see you this cold morning! Those dark spots on the L bank of the cove are 6 mallards that are regular visitors to our cove.

Of course when I went out onto the deck, my two assistants had to go out as well. At 25 outside, I expect their adventuring will be short.

So Haley wants to know what I made with my waiting chicken. I had to hold the process after realizing last night was MM's bi-weekly BNO (boys night out). Translation: no cooking for me!

Chicken is now in the crockpot, but not even for tonight. I decided to make Brunswick Stew, so I am cooking the main stuff today so I can cool and debone the chicken before continuing with the veggies...tomorrow...or Saturday. Whatevah. I regroup quite easily for whatever comes along. That's just the way we both roll.

I downloaded from Amazon BSP sista Sally Berneathy's book 3 in her chocolate series,The Great Chocolate Scam, and started reading it last night. She is such a snarky writer that, of course, I didn't want to put it down and actually go to sleep...but I did. I will get some stuff done, and reward myself with reading more. Discipline...I has it. Sometimes.

Life is good, y'all! What would you RATHER be doing?

I just bought the Outlander 7-book series based on Miss Bee's comments. Ayla recommended it to her. Guess what I'll be doing as soon as I can! :)

It was chilly here but not THAT chilly! But my parents have both been wearing their long johns and flannel-lined jeans. I hope they won't freeze up nawth over Christmas! Bless their hearts.

I'm having savory pie cravings so I think I'll have to run out for a rotisserie chicken later.

Have a YAYful day in Mayberry! big hugs xoxo

I haven't started this one yet but I ALWAYS enjoy Sally's books, have for years, so I know this one will be fun, too. (Did you really mean snarky? I think it means snide and sarcastic. But I could be wrong...it happens occasionally!)
It was indeed chilly this morning. Got some new socks w/a bit of wool in them, and my wool felt Sketchers so my toes are happy and warm! Sweater, scarf - all layers I may be removing by midafternoon but they feel GREAT right now.

I'm glad you're seeing the sun. We've not for a few days. Big storm coming through. Must be that global warming thing. Bwahahahahahahaha.

I'd rather be boating, but I'll be doing that tomorrow. Tomorrow night is the change of watch and I'm the one that relieves everyone of their 2012 duties and swears in the new officers and board of directors for 2013. My last duty as staff commodore.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. :)

Please post your recipe for brunswick stew. I'm not sure what we'll have for dinner. It may be pizza.

Yay for the sun! it'll be a while before it comes back here... Rain in the forecast (go figure!).

Big hugs!
