Camping Sunday

I pretty much have everything inside ready to roll, and am sitting here waiting on MM. His tinkering abilities were required...again, but for someone else. He has been Mr. Fixer all weekend, but that is OK. He just came back to retrieve some tools, and I asked him if he was making progress.

"On which one? I'm working on 5!" I guess we'll be here awhile.

He's such a good guy. I think I'll keep him!

Riverbend Campground is a very pleasant campground, just outside Hiawassee, and right on the Hiawassee River. I met the young couple across from us this morning, a school teacher who graduated with Brian and Jason! I think I mentioned that this is a small world...proven once again. She said this is a good place to be on Thanksgiving. The cg provides the meat, sets up long tables, and everyone brings two side dishes to share. Sweet...

I enjoyed my outing yesterday, and already told MM that I bought (only) two pairs of shoes, both sturdy and half price. I'm smiling...and he isn't complaining. Smart man.

So, how is your weekend? We are overcast and cool. It is totally a fall day.

Life is good...everywhere, y'all!

Gotta love our handy and understanding guys.

I was at a fabric shop. I had one bolt of fabric waiting to be cut and one pattern, and Hubby said, "Is that it?"

So I picked out three more bolts to cut from. LOL!

Oh, a campground Thanksgiving sounds fun! I love gatherings where everyone brings a covered dish. I got some of my best recipes that way!

The sturdiest shoes I own are moccasins. Do they count? hehe.

It's 85° and sunny. Not fall, but fall for here I suppose.

Enjoy the rest of your day! big hugs xoxo

We missed you making cards yesterday! The chicken chili was a hit with my crowd too. We went out to lunch after church, have worked on homework, and continue to work on laundry. Very exciting stuff for sure! I for one am glad that you're keeping Dad around- for at least another week or so.

We just returned from the boat. Hauled up a ton of things for the bay cruise and you can go below and not see a one of those things. We know how to stow and make sure we don't have a cluttered look going on. You know all about that. So Wednesday we pack up a few odds and ends and off we go. Our cruise starts bright and early on Thursday. We are so ready to go.

I hope MM can get all five of his fixes done soon so you can head home before dark. Just saying.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs from warm and sunny California. :)
