Hobo supper and other stuff

A Redneck fire starter is how you begin a hobo supper:

With a good woman who has first cut up and packaged all the vittles:

And for dessert…S’mores!

Followed by some special knot tying lesson from Grumps.  Listen and watch carefully, now, ya hear?:

These are a few of my favorite things…here in Mayberry…where we have lots of simple pleasures.

Goodbye, September.

Life is good, y’all!

Dang, that is one serious fire starter! I'll take my S'mores unassembled and raw, please. Love all of the ingredients... just not together and cooked. I'm probably one of the few who doesn'r love S'mores. Although having a gathering around a fire pit to do it is always a blast!

And yes, the Western part of NC is where I'm currently looking/considering. Somewhere near Charlotte.

Have another mahvelous day in Mayberry. More work today, but much easier! Whew! big hugs xoxo

The simple pleasures are the very best aren't they. Yes they are.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs from the back of our boat. :)

LOVE the redneck firestarter! I love those times with family. Just hanging. That's our Thanksgiving. Just a bonfire and family. No stress. I can't wait for this year. it's going to be a tough one without Grampie, but it'll be good to be surrounded by people we love.

What a great weekend it was for gathering around a fire pit outside! And family gatherings are the best.

This makes me want to build an autumn bonfire and have some s'mores :)
