Friday in Bad Schandau

The morning was spent cruising through beautiful Saxony Switzerland, which did not mean that we had slipped over into Switzerland. The area was given this title by Swiss artists ages ago because it reminded them of their homeland.

Our afternoon excursion upon docking took us to a visit of the Bastei rock formation that actually had a rock castle high above the Elbe.

We climbed lots of steps up for a fantastic view of the valley, and an equal number of steps back down to the bus. We will be turning in early tonight.

It was a good day, sunny and mild temps.

Past guests (us!) were treated to a special cocktail party before dinner tonight to meet the captain and major crew members. Our final night onboard is tomorrow night. Our cruise is ending all too soon. It's been great.

More tomorrow. I am yawning.

Sweet dreams. WYWH!

I meant to add that the rock castle up there was there many centuries ago...and long gone. Did I mention I was sleepy???

Well in 155 days you'll be doing a Carnival cruise. Just wanted you to remember that.

It does seem that you just boarded the ship. Oh well, you'll have to plan another cruise.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. :)

Looks beautiful! I can't believe the cruise is ending soon either, but I guess that means more adventures await. Bon voyage!

So pretty. Nature is amazing. Over? I thought it was a few weeks? Has it already been that long?

Of course my memory stinks lately, especially as it relates to time. Oy.

big hugs from sultry, stormy south jawjah! xoxo
