Happy fall, y’all!

Halloween calendar

So you are wondering just what this creation is, right?

Well, it is a wall-hanging Halloween count-down calendar that my sweet friend Joan made for MY wee boys (she also made one for her own two grands, of course).  Thanks, Joanie!  They get to begin the fun TODAY!

There is a pumpkin on a stick that gets moved into a little pocket for each day.  The munchkins get to first remove a little slip of paper hiding in the pocket that tells them what their treat of the day happens to be—candy corn, chocolate, stickers, or whatever.  Pretty dang clever!

We had those munchkins overnight, and will have them all day today.  Will I have the strength?!  They are mighty rambunctious this morning, running around like wild Indians.  Dick (wisely escaped and) has gone to pick up parts for something or other.  Or just escaped the chaos!

If only we could bottle up some of their energy!

I just overheard Doodlebug saying that he was drawing on his iPad (an etch-a-sketch thingy).  They both have quite the imagination.  And the two kitties have the smarts to head outside (escape) already, despite it being 40!

Have a great Saturday.  It’s just another day in paradise, y’all!  Who wants to come play?

40? srsly? Brrrr.... It's in the 60's here!

I could have used some of that bottled wee boy's energy yesterday! Walked around for about 4 hours, which wasn't too bad actually, except I hurt my knee last week right before I left.

Warm up! Big hugs xoxo

It's fall indeed. It's overcast here but it's warm. We are currently in Benicia California. Tonight is our bay cruise kick off dinner. We are having a fabulous time.

Have a terrific day. Big hugs. :)

What a sweet project sweet Joanie made! I love that idea. Halloween is Ansley's 2nd favorite holiday (2nd only to Christmas).
