Adjustment period

P1020164The two kitties are doing an awful lot of staring.  And sniffing.

Who has been sitting next to my bowl?  Did HE eat any of my food?  I am not sure this sharing is a whole lot of fun, thinks Miss Missy.

She is also thinking let me outta here for a break from this nuisance!  And so I did.  And then Mister Casey Kitty sat looking out the door, wondering why he couldn’t also go out.  Not yet, baby boy.P1020161

Bugger, he says.  Then he climbed up the stairs and perched on a shelf under my craft table…his favorite daytime hidey hole.  Nighttime finds him alternating between our bed and the cedar chest at the end of it.

It is an adjustment time for all of us, but his kitty hugs are so worth it.  I am sure Missy will get one some day.

Purr.  Another day in paradise.  The end.

I bet they play together at night when everyone is asleep. they just don't want to admit they're friends yet. ;)

I so remember getting that second kitty and Squeaker didn't like her one bit. They finally became friends. So precious.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. :)

It is hard for the kittie to share with another at first and then they may become best friends. We had a kittie visit recently for a week and my cat sat at the door looking under it to see what this one was doing invading his territory, then he brought a toy to sit by the door for the visiting kittie to play with. It was quite sweet.

yep every time we added a new kitty to the mix there was this great stare down and a few fights, but than every one settled down and got a long with each other.

Give them a month Sandy, and then hopefully they will be best friends. The initial adjustement period is always hard, just as it would be for humans:)

Here's hoping they do well together! They'd better both realize what a good thing they've got!

I think they're doing pretty well together already, and it will get more-so. Casey (or K.C., Kitty Cat) is a honey!

What cute little kitties. No room for a litter box in an RV sigh!
