Missy is setting a very bad example for her brother, who hasn’t been allowed outside yet. He needs to learn his way around inside, before he ventures outside. That is my plan. She can introduce the kitty door to him soon. Maybe. Or maybe I’ll just close it!
So what did I find when I got home from The Walmarts yesterday?
Both kitties were chasing this poor little guy around the rug in the living room. I obviously didn’t want the snake in the house, much less in the toy basket where they had him cornered (that is a Mardi Gras necklace that the snake is heading toward…I don’t think he was interested in bling, however).
Sigh.
I am finding the dustpan and brush combination is used more for trapping snakes than for actually their intended purpose of sweeping up loose dirt/crumbs.
Whatever it takes to get unwanted critters out of the house!
Missy doesn’t need to teach Casey her hunting skills. They are not appreciated by Mom!

Ciao Sandy!!!
Snake in the sitting room? I hate snakes and worms...I hope I meet none of them!!!
The two are so cute!!!!
Have a lovely Wednesday!!!
Bonding moments!
yikes! A snake! Better the kitties get them than to find them slithering around and surprising you when you're all relaxed and cozy.
Looks like they have found common ground! Hahaha!
Big hugs xoxo
I don't think I'd have been able to get rid of the snake. I would have freaked out at the sight of it.
yes BUT you had the sense to get the CAMERA first! ha ha ha

Hey at least they were playing with it TOGETHER! As Haley said, bonding moments! Closing the cat door might be the best idea, but if Missy brought it in, you can be proud of her for sharing her toys. :-)
Well at least they are working together cornering that snake. Poor snake. I agree that a snake inside is not a good idea.
Have a terrific day honey. We are off to the boat to start our bay cruise. Big hugs to you both. :)
Good Lord the worst we get in the house are mice and those are ones brought in by our girl cat Bebe!
