Wednesday washing...

And I'm not talking about clothes, but that is also going on. See the top of the mojo, way up there? It was raining this morning, so Dick climbed up and scrubbed the roof. Of course it didn't go smoothly. He had to move the water hose and somehow it caught around the upright PVC holding the faucet. Yep, snapped that puppy right off and created his very own personal geyser. All he needed was a bar of soap for his now outdoor shower! Needless to say, he was not a happy camper but he was able to get the flow substantially small till the park fix-it guy got here to do the permanent fix. Dick's wet duds are now getting clean. Life is never dull here at the Fun Factory.
I went to a new eye doc this morning and had good news/bad news. Good news is that my eyes haven't changed, and he identified that I have clogged tear ducts, making my eyes water and overproduce tears in compensation! Hmmm, wonder why my regular doc didn't know this, as this is not a new problem:( Anyway, the 'fix' is simple (this doc has the same problem) and doesn't require Rx, so I'm gonna work on the fix. The bad news is that my old, cracked lens couldn't simply be replaced, so I had to get new frames and lens, but they are still cheaper than what I can get in Mayberry. I don't like to spend $$ if I don't have to. I'd rather use it on our travels! Oh yes, there is another trip in our near future...stay tuned!

Sorry about the boo boo. If it isn't one thing it's something else.

You have a problem I'd like to have concerning your eyes. My right eye doesn't get enough moisture and under certain circumstances I'm unable to focus on anything. Then I just have my left eye to see. I need a patch and so far can't find one that doesn't interfere with my glasses.

Have a terrific day and I'll await your next travel adventure. Big hug. :)

A geyser doesn't sound good. Glad it was easy to fix and that Dick didn't get hurt.

I've been waiting about 3 weeks for my new glasses that were supposed to ready in a day. The first time he called me in I couldn't see out of the right lens at all and the left was only good for distance. He hasn't called me to say the re-made pair is ready yet. Sometimes I miss my old hometown. My glasses were ready in an hour at Lenscrafters. I may have to make the 4-hour drive to get my glasses. ::sigh::

If the broken pipe is the worst problem, consider it a good day!

Uh-oh, poor dick !

Glad that the new eye doc knew what to do, even if you had to buy new frames and lens...

Where will your next trip be ?

Sounds like one of my mistakes.... Glad you'll get the tear duct fixed. Now how do I fix mine? I cry at all the sappy commercials! JK!

I bet Dick was glad that HE wasn't the park fix-it guy today! And hope the fix for the clogged tear ducts works well! Hugs...

I suspect dick was not a happy camper, like murphey's law, right

at least there's nothing serious about your eyes condition or at least it's not that worst.

everyone seems to be spending less and less nowadays. this crisis will hopefully end.

looking forward for that coming trip!

Look at it this way, with spending the bucks on some new specs you'll be able to see all of this wonderful places you're going even better than before!

So ... where are you off to now??
