Two more sleeps!

This is what Mayberry looks like today, minus the band. That's our drummer girl Macey there on the L at the Christmas parade a couple of weeks ago. Her sister is up ahead somewhere, playing the clarinet. I wasn't there, darn it, so this photo was blatantly stolen from a friend...who doesn't mind.

Small town living is the best. Cold weather, not so much. Two more sleeps and MM and I are outta here, going to find warm weather. Hallelujah!

I have soup makings ready, and a pork butt marinating for our family Christmas Eve dinner here tomorrow night. I'll put the crockpot on the deck tonight with the pork slow cooking, that way we don't have to smell it all night and all day. Not that it smells bad (quite the opposite), I just don't want to smell something cooking for that long.

So my birthday season continues today with my terrific big girls...our wee girls are not going along with us.

I know we will have some girly fun! Check back tomorrow and read about it.

Fun afternoon in store for you, I'm sure! Can't believe it's time for you to head south already, though. Enjoy the warmth for a while and then hurry back home. We will miss you! Have a wonderfully Merry Christmas with your family.

I love it that your birthday isn't over. Being spoiled is a good thing.

I can relate about the crockpot. It really makes the house smell good and then you're hungry all the time. Better it's outside.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and tons of scritches to the babies. ♥♥♥

Me no likey the cold... or the rain and tornado watches and warnings we've been having. A parade looks way more fun!

I've figured out Christmas dinner (chicken and dumplin's requested by Al and sauteed sea scallops with cidar sauce, stuffed mushrooms and steamed asparagus requested by Dad!) and the 2 days after Christmas on Lynda's first full day here will be MotherDear's I-talian... but I haven't settled on Christmas Eve dinner yet. I am leaning towards chicken pie because you know it's my favorite. :)

Hope you're enjoying your daughters and yur birthday season!!

big hugs xoxo
