Christmas Eve in Mayberry

The oil is all warm:

No, not for cooking. MM brought these 5 gallon buckets inside last night to keep the oil warm so he could put it into a machine this morning. It is another work day for him, but a short one.

The family service is at 4 this afternoon and the kids will all (mostly all) be there, and where a few are performing in the pageant--Haley #1, Ansley and Macey are all playing their instruments and singing.

Afterward, the gang will be here for Tortellini Soup (yum) and opening of presents...our annual tradition. Chaos, for sure.

I am loading up the Moho, doing laundry, and putting away all things that can be put away so we can depart...maybe tomorrow!

Missy is being mighty loving this morning now that dad isn't here, while KC is already scouting the area. Too cold outside for the girl; she's smart!

So, our family Christmas Eve tradition is church, soup, presents. Please share yours.

Have a very Merry Christmas everyone!

On the eves of all the holidays hubby and I listen to music and prep for the meal the following day. Not much to do tonight as we are doing fillet Mignon roast and a baked potato bar. Easy stuff. Then we will have some champagne together and just enjoy our evening. We don't do gifts to each other anymore. Just no need.

Have a terrific day honey and may you and yours have a very Merry Christmas. Love and hugs my friend. ♥♥♥

Ours is church ( at 6:30 but I have to be there early to get my music lined up and practice a bit - otherwise I'd come see the girls at in your service). Then chili supper and visiting with family at my house, and more visiting in the morning. And more Thursday when my son gets here. Got to go get that chili in the crockpot now. Merry Christmas Eve!

I am going to an outdoor service at 6pm near where we are staying, then home for dinner, fajita this year, then off to St. Patrick's RC church at 9:15 for carols and then mass at 10pm. Tomorrow, Skype with family back in the cold and snow, then maybe the beach! Out for pizza tomorrow night. Maybe I will cook a turkey next week!
Merry Christmas to all.
