Tromso is the seventh largest city, boasting the most traditional wooden houses in Norway in their city center. These houses date from the late 18th century, built before the ban on constructing wooden houses within the city center. This city was often utilized as a starting point for Arctic expeditions, and a hub for local hunting.
This is the view from the cable car ride, although not a great photo...but a great view:
So the sun does not set tonight. At all. That is why this area is called the Land of the Midnight Sun. Can you imagine a sunless winter? No thank you!
Life is good, y'all!

I would love to visit, but you can have the sunless winters. No way Jose.
Have a terrific time honey. Big hugs from hot California. ☺
It looks like you are having a great trip! You are definitely making me want to visit this area of the world (plus we have a strong Scandinavian connection through JC). Thanks for sharing a little sunshine on a not-so-great day (for me). Life IS good, even when you hit a few bumps in the road to shake things up!
I think no dark at o'dark thirty would mess me up something awful. Thankfully, I'll probably never know. They have sunsets where I'm goin'! Looks like you're rolling with the flow!
big hugs from steamy south jawjah! xoxo
Ciao Sandy!
At this time with Caronte with about 40° C I should say I prefer a bit of a sunless Winter...
Have fun...and food!
Big hugs, honey!!!
Wow... No sun in winter? I'd go crazy. But I know the people there are used to it.
Hugs to Haley. Hope her days are getting better.
