Friends, trees, and trips

P1030041

Hello, sweet friends.  Joy and Cathy made it safely back to Mayberry last night.  And cold weather.  Yuck.  We shall miss our marbles partners!

I’ll be posting a few photos, as promised for Haley.  This is one she wanted of the oak tree Dick moved in P1030046the bucket of the front end loader and planted at our new house in late ‘79.  It has grown just a little.  Those areca palms behind us were part of our tree nursery that the developer dug up and moved here to screen off part of the public area.  And they tore down our beautiful home, since it couldn’t be converted into a public building.  Oh well…it was no longer ours anyway.

And this was another smallish oak that Dick also planted.  I’m glad they are still there.  Our kids sure had fun playing in these trees.  And in the lake.  Fond memories.

Did anyone watch the new Amazing Race Sunday night?  We enjoy watching that show…and would love to try it out, if we were a few years younger…and had better knees.  But since we don’t have the luxury of either option, we just enjoy watching it on TV, and see a few places we’ve never been but also quite a few places we actually have visited.  That’s pretty cool!

If you could go visit another country, which one would you pick?  Why?

Looks like there aren't any Australian pines to swing on! Thanks for the pictures! Good times, good memories...

Ciao Sandy!
It's a great visit to the old property!
Mine is changed so much, no oaks more, my sister built a new house, the old one was sold...no fields more, only a garden, a small swimmpool, some walnut trees my father had planted...so my memories are so poor now!
Today sunny, but no capris nor sandals, the weather like in Georgia, I guess!!!

Tuscany is very famous, but in my region also are interesting places to visit! (Ravenna, Bologna, Modena, Parma...see on Wikip.!)

You are a marvellous hostess for your guests!!!

Ciao!!!

Hugs!

I've always wanted to go to Australia. Nearly did go once, but sadly, it didn't pan out. One day.

I'm going to Italy with Bee to visit Ivana. I still have two places on my bucket list -- China (to see the great wall) and Israel.
