This was my best moon shot last night at about 8p, just as this big hunk of cheese was rising above the palm trees. This is the closest to Earth that it has been since 1992. Hmm, hopefully we’ll be around to see it again in another couple of decades.
But what will be going on then? We currently have devastation in Japan; a madman loose in Libya causing way too much havoc; fuel prices soaring; and jobs and the housing market still in the toilet.
My, oh my. What a mess.
I am very happy that all my family and friends are safe…and send prayers to everyone in all those trouble spots here and abroad.
Count your blessings, folks.
Life is short ...forgive quickly, love truly,
laugh uncontrollably...
and never regret anything that made you smile.

Carissima amica!
I agree all your words and my heart is so sad...moon, flowers, allbeautiful things of the new Spring do not help...the world is full of pain!
I put this image on my blog...thank you...here I could not take photos...it's also my problem, and I do not trust in my photo-ability!!!
HAve a blessed Sunday!!!
Big hugs!!!
Good advice! That moon was beautiful last night. We enjoyed it along with watching the corn hole game outside at Amy's.
It sure is crazy times. For all the ills in the world we are truly blessed and I thank God for that.
Didn't get much of a chance to see the moon. Life happens. More on that later.
I agree. Count your blessings every day!
Big hugs :]
isn't that the truth! and before you know it someone i love will be in the middle of it i'm afraid. hope not though.

That's a much better moon shot than any of the ones that I got once it managed to clear the clouds here in New England. I was really hoping to catch it close to the horizon but no such luck I'm afraid. The pictures I have tend to look more like a big ole lightbulb in the sky!
You're right in that the world seems to be going down the proverbial tubes right now. I'm hoping things get better soon but in the meantime I'm thankful for those blessings that I have and just pray to God to keep safe those that are in harm's way no matter where that may be - Japan, Libya, Haiti, etc., etc ... the list is just way too long, huh?
Great shot. We have a mega storm going thought right now. We've not seen the sky in days. Oh well.
Wish we could come with you on your cruise in October, but that's our 10 day bay cruise and as the commodore I should be in attendance. One of these days.
The mess in Libya is awful. Yet again we are involved in another country. Our country needs lots of attention. That's where our focus should be.
Have a terrific day. Big hug to you both. :)
