To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; --Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
Life is a constant–birth and death. We celebrated the birth of grandson Will this past week, and just learned last night that BSP sister and friend Pat lost her hubby in an accident yesterday. He was only 64 (remember when we thought that was OLD?). When I woke up this morning, one of my first thoughts was that Pat is waking up today in a lonely bed, without John, and John will never be there again. This will be one of many ‘firsts’ that she will experience in this particular sorority that none of us wives wanna join. Spooning with Dick this morning was even more special than normal, even when he began gently snoring. That was OK...it was sweet music to my ears, because it meant he is alive and next to me.
I hope John enjoyed those bubbles I sent up to him this morning. He was a dear soul. The rose is for Pat, with love and sorrow from the collective hearts of sistas Joy, Jennie, and me.

Thanks, Sandy, for putting into words what I've been feeling since learning of John's death this morning. We all need to remember to let our loved ones know how much we cherish them, don't we? Hugs,
Joy
sending my condolences to your friend. let's pray that John will find peace.
I do not want to be a member of that club..NEVER in fact..maybe i will go first and not have to join!! I think this is one thing that I try not to think about. I am so so sorry for your friend. Bless her. Sandy
I thank God everyday for my hubby. We just never know when our time is up. Big hug and lotsa lovies to Pat. :)
Sorry to hear about the loss of a friend. I hope never to be a part of that club, my husband is my best friend and without him life would never be the same. I think I am going to go tell him that now....
Blessings to your friend! ((Hugs))
My greatest fear... Hugs to Pat and her family.
Thanks for the kind words from all of you. I get a lump in my throat reading all the nice comments, which I'll pass on to Pat. Hug your own sweetie real tight!

My heart goes out to her. She's going to be ok. I know.
Peace
So sorry to hear about your friend. None of us knows the time or day we shall be called.
