Teach a boy to fish…

And he learns more skills than just fishing!

Will's catfish

I was sitting in the massage chair, reading and enjoying a glass of wine after a day of shopping (more on that later), when Will charged in, all excited,  telling me of a big catfish he had just caught…and that his daddy would be sending me a picture of it.  Future blogger.

I asked if he had kept it and they would have him for dinner.  He said that no, it was only one fish and they would need 4 catfish for dinner.

Four in their family.  Math skills at work.

And if they were having someone else over, they would need 5 fish.  Good 5 y/o logic.

The boy is learning how to not only be social, but feed a crowd as well.

Big brother Alex is actually the one who LOVES fishing, but maybe little bro will now be more interested in joining him after this accomplishment.

And rule #1 is ALWAYS to have on their life jackets when on the dock.

Smart boys.  I think I have mentioned that I love living next door to them?

Life is good…well, except for a broken something on the mower that MM needs to weld.  It’s a normal day in Mayberry, y’all!

He's a smart 5 year old indeed. I know you'll teach those boys the right way to do things.

Sorry that MM is still working on fixing that mower. Bugger.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. :)

Well, bugger to something else needing fixin', but YAY for living on the lake near Grammie and Grandpa!

He can have my catfish... ack. Too many tiny bones for me. Call me when they catch salmon or haddock and I'll be right ovah! haha!

Have a fab evening. I'll be going to bed early... in my bed that now has a headboard. hooray! big hugs xoxo

when my grandsons caught fish at that age they wanted to bring them home and keep them in an aquarium. they named them instantly. no eating those fish, no way!
