The lure of aircraft had us headed back N to Tillamook Air Museum, located in an old blimp hangar:
All those trusses were made out of local wood. Pretty impressive! This is the smaller of the two hangars built back in the WW2 era. The larger one held 8 blimps at one time that were used to scout out submarines and to escort our own battleships out to safety. It now houses a variety of aircraft, old engines, old aircraft communication pieces, and lots of other memorabilia. Interesting place.
We ate lunch, then took the three cape scenic shoreline drive back to Lincoln City. Fog was still hanging around in places along the way.
Haley reports a great first day of school for all three of them.
Ansley is enjoying her short "do." She donated her hair to Locks of Love, a very worthy cause. So proud of her for doing that!
We are rolling S, putzing down toward Coos Bay, where we need to be for a dinner tomorrow night. No problem!
Miles and smiles, y'all! Happy Saturday.
