From Italy, with love…

Nice shot of Firenze, Ponte Vecchio at night:

Throw in a little “bike porn” for daily travels:

…that is the view from their bikes…

And this yummy stuff is “on every corner”…thud…cioccolateria:

And “everyone” rides these:

No thank you!  Not me.

And this news is just in from Faith, posted from Palazzo Vecchio a few minutes ago:

Yay! So happy I got my spaghetti and meatballs I've been craving since we got here! I have learned that this is not common in this region of Italy. It is a Sicilian dish, and so you generally have to go further south to find meatballs, but we found them, and they were delish! I got a pic, but I'll have to post it later! Also got to see the famous Uffizi gallery and the Bargello, both of which hold some of the greatest collections of art in the world including Michelangelo, Donatello, and so many more! Having the time of our lives! Ciao!

I am loving having this instant news from our kids as they travel so very far away.  Modern technology brings them just a bit closer to home…and my heart.

Keep making those good memories.  Ciao, my loves!  Pedal on.

So Faith is having authentic Italian spaghetti and meatballs in Italy? I'm just a tad bit jealous of this fact. Glad they got out of the way of that crooked tower yesterday! That worried me.

Technology is fabulous for just this sort of thing! I'd have to splurge for at least one chocolate!

My sister Lynda and bil Rick went to Italy (Rome, Venice and Tuscany region) for 2 weeks with their son Brian and his wife Anna a few years ago. Rick is Italian - and you know how we ALL love Italian foods - and sadly, they were all disappointed in the food while in Italy. I think they expected Chicken Parm and pasta and meatballs on every corner. They also commented on how small the portions are and that nobody wnated them to rush off.

Can't wait to see where they go next!

big hugs xoxo

It's so wonderful that you are getting frequent updates. That way we all know what's going on in Italy. How fun.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and tons of scritches to the babies. ♥♥♥

I'm so glad they're having fun! It's fun to visit a place through someone else's eyes. Gives you a new perspective.

Have a great day!
