Remembrance and thanks

Troops stockings

Today being Pearl Harbor Day (1941) is a perfect time to give thanks for all those who have served our great country to gain and keep our precious freedom.

Our military are still scattered all over the world, leaving behind family to keep the home fires burning in their absence.  They all need our support, whether it is a prayer, a card, a care package…or a simple thanks any time you see a service person.  Any positive gesture would be appreciated.

Come to think of it, a thankful attitude toward everyone would make this world a much better place to reside.  Share a smile today.  They are free, so give generously.

God bless our troops!

The folks that bought my house are active military, and I overheard him say that he just got back from Afghanistan. Dang it, I forgot to thank him for his service... I did however congratulate them both on buying my house. :)

A thankful attitude toward everyone can be most challenging as some people are big old jerks, but I do try!

Have a lovely day. Or at the very least stay warm. Freeze warning in effect for us tonight!

Big hugs xoxo

I loved/stole your graphic, but first I added another stocking for the National Guard and then hung it on my blog with a link to the USO, who has always done so much for our troops.

So true, so true.

Unfortunately I'm in agreement with Barb though, sometimes people can really be big old jerks and it's a struggle to be the "better" person and let them slide. Still, we do try!
