I will have to tell y’all that Dick got a big kick out of your comments on his, um, new creations. He has already delivered one to the lake playhouse. Lucky Haley!
Speaking of our gal…we both finished the book The Help recently, and had made plans to see the movie 
(same name) at our local theatre last night. I asked Dick if he wanted to go with us (no, it was not a chick flick), and he said YES. All three of us really liked the movie! And of course we ran into several folks we know. Living in a small town, that happens a lot. So that is our one movie for the year. We don’t get out much.
But today, I really am getting out and hitting the road southbound to see sister Nan. I predict an evening of good food and laughter.

Gosh, that reminds me that I haven't toughed my summer reading stack yet.
I haven't been to the movies in years and it's not likely any time soon either. I'd far rather watch it on DVD. Between the cost of the cinema ticket and a popcorn and water, the DVD is actually much less expensive...
and no sticky stuff under my chair either. Yuck.
The bad part is having to wait for it to come out on DVD. But I have plenty of painting to keep me busy.

I haven't been to a movie in quite some time myself but that's because I have issues paying the cost of one never mind if you decide you want some popcorn, too! One almost needs to take out a loan for that these days!

I haven't read The Help yet. Some times I am leery of reading something that rings true like this. I cry too easily! The Color Purple just about did me in. I'm such a wimp.
