I read your post below, thinking of Maunday Thursday: There was a photo in our local newspaper of a "drive-through" foot-washing service. Sure enough, some bozo was sticking his foot out through the car window, while a priest did the honors. You know???? If you're too darned lazy to get out of your car I think you just don't get it. But then again, I'm not wild about shorts and tank tops in the sanctuary, either....smiles.
